There are four basic methods to professional hair extensions that can fulfill just about anyone’s needs. Whether it’s because of a tight budget or the type of hair that you may have, one of these methods will suit your wants as well as your needs.
Protein Bonds: Individually bonded strand by strand throughout the head with a heat application. Keratin based bonding agent allows the hair the breathe better and withhold added stress to each strand. One application should last three to nine months. Helps with adding volume, thickness, length, and highlights to create desired effect.
Cylinder Bonds: Individually bonded strand by strand throughout the head with a cold bond application. Copper bead bonded to head with cold fusion method allows hair not to be damaged by heat as well as allows hair to breathe through the bead. One application can last three to six months. Helps with adding volume, thickness, length, and highlights to create desired effect.
Micro-Bead Weft: Small beads use cold fusion to hair to make a row. This is secure and safe way to sew a weft onto the head. Usually lasts six to eight weeks. For best results should be used for added thickness or volume.
Tape-In Extensions: Adhesive weft extensions that are applied without the need for tools or heat. These are designed to lay flat, seamless, and undetectable in the hair. The hair usually can be reapplied up to 3 times, and will last between 8 and 10 weeks between applications.
Clip-On: Most temporary form of extensions. Uses mini clips to secure onto you hair. Will last until hair is washed or client takes out. Best for added thickness and volume as well as minimal amounts of length.
